Answers to common questions about CalDesign. If yours is not here, write to info@kiwiprojekt.pl and say which version of CalDesign and macOS you use.
What does CalDesign need?
A Mac with macOS 13 or later, Apple silicon or Intel.
How do I add birthdays?
Pick people from Contacts inside CalDesign, drop them from Contacts onto the window, or import a .vcf file. Each birthday becomes a yearly date. You can show the age the person turns next to their name. See birthday calendars.
How do I add events from my calendar?
Export the calendar as an .ics file from Calendar, Google Calendar or another app, then import the file in CalDesign. Its events go into a category of their own. Importing the same file again later replaces that category's dates. Events that repeat every year stay yearly dates.
Which holidays are included?
The public holidays of over 80 countries, for 2026–2040, named in each country's own language. See the list of countries.
Which page sizes can I use?
A3, A4, 30 × 30 cm, Letter and Tabloid, or any size you type in millimetres.
How do I get it printed?
Export a PDF with every page, or one PNG, JPEG or TIFF file per page. The guide to printing a wall calendar says which to choose for a home printer, a photo lab or a print shop.
Why do my exports have a mark in the corner?
The free version exports previews with a small mark in one corner. A one-time purchase unlocks full-resolution export without it. Family Sharing covers your family.
I bought the unlock on another Mac. How do I get it here?
Choose CalDesign → Unlock… and then Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account.
Why is a name missing from a day?
A day shows as many names as fit under its number. Before you export, CalDesign lists the names it could not fit. In the Text tab, make the event labels smaller or give them more lines, or shorten the names of your own dates.
